Cynthia “Cindy” Chudy, age 54, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:08 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington on August 12, 1967, the daughter of Rev. Myron W. Young & Millicent R. (Grubbs) Young.
She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School and then received her Associates Degree in 1996 from Vincennes University. She worked for the Bloomington Transit and she acquired several “adopted” children while driving her routes. She loved fishing, flowers and spending time with her family. She attended Lifeway Baptist Church in Ellettsville and New Prospect Baptist Church in Bloomington. She helped to serve their church family with her parents at New Prospect Baptist Church through youth groups and lead Worship service often.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Thomas) Stollings of Bloomington; brothers, Rusty Young of Washington, IN and Randy (Karen) Young of Broken Arrow, OK; nephews, Jason (Kristen) Young and Tyler (Taylor) Young; grandson, Kolton Stollings; granddaughter, Hope Stollings; great nephews, Graham Young and Jude Young; aunt, Carlone Alexander and uncle, Dr. Richard Grubbs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Chudy; infant son, Johnathan; uncle, Raymond Young and aunt, Harriet Wilbur.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
