Dear Margaret and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My grandma Faye (as I called her) will always have a special place in my heart, she was so kind to me, always made me feel welcomed and loved and that I mattered. Faye did not judge. She met me with open mind and heart. My mom and I had just arrived from Okinawa, Japan. I was adopted by my military step dad. On our first meeting, she had bought me an larger the life size, walking doll, (that was taller than I was) have to admit I was a bit scared of it (lol) Over the years, we developed a special bond with her . I loved visiting on her farm, I have so many great memories I will treasure, from all the experiences I had there. I’d never seen fireflies or ponds filled with snapping turtles & fish or tasted homemade jam or bread. Faye would send cards for special occasions and birthday’s. With my Dad being in the Air Force meant we didn’t stay in any one place for very long, but anytime I was near Linton, I made a point to visit her. She flew out to California when I got married. We laughed a lot together over the silliest things. She is a free spirit and I feel truly blessed to have known her and to have had her in my life since I was 7 years old . I will deeply miss her, fried catfish with hush puppies, her endless smiles. Rest In Peace, Grandma Faye, I Love you.

On behalf of my Mother(Gail) and my sister,(Sarah), I want to extend our sympathy and prayers to Fayes family and friends. Mother always enjoyedher church activities with Faye, and the 3 of us have fond memories of being in church services with Faye. Faye always seemed to be smiling and her conversations were positive. Faye was one of those people you thought would live forever; she was a gem!
