Dear Linda and family, I am so broken-hearted about you losing Jim. He is such a special person who is so beloved. He will always be remembered as a fun and caring man, not to mention as being the best Vice-President of our class for 4 years. You both were so lucky to have each other. Although luck had nothing to do with it. God bless you , Linda, and your family. Love and peace to you and yours, Janice Engle

Linda and family... I'm so sorry I couldn't come with Ron, but I couldn't get off work. Linda, you and Jim were the first friends I met of Ron's when we first married. Ya'll made me feel so special and loved. The few times here in Tampa and then in Linton with ya'll are memories I will always cherish. I wish we had more times to be together, but living so far apart, it just couldn't happen. Life has a way of getting in the way. I'm so very sad and will miss that smiling face that only Jim could have. All my love and prayers to you and the family. Love, Gerry

Dear Linda & Family Rarely in life do you have an opportunity to say you know someone that you've never heard a single person have anything negative to say about them. For me that person was Jim. After high school you go your own way and settle into life and lose touch with classmates. It was always special for me the times that I would run into Jim somewhere and we would reminisce and catch up. On one of my last conversations with Jim, he asked me how someone we knew was doing because he had heard they were ill. I knew Jim had been ill himself, yet he took the time to ask about someone else. That's just the kind of person Jim was! Jim told me something years ago when we were in school. Even though he didn't realize it, he gave me confidence and a belief in myself that I've never forgotten. I'm proud to have had him as a classmate and teammate and honored to have known him. He will be greatly missed!

Linda, So sorry for your loss. Jim was one heck of a nice guy who was always willing to help out no matter what the job was. Hoisted many a bale of hay with Jim at Mr. Wakefield's farm when we were in high school and then years later when he and his dad came and baled hay on my farm. Please accept our deepest condolences. God bless and don't hesitate to call if you need anything.

My Uncle Jim was one of a kind- he had such a big heart and was always ready for a laugh. He would often joke with me, asking “if I had a boyfriend yet,” which is one of my favorite memories of him. My condolences to Aunt Linda, Leslie, Chet, James Darren, Jill, and of course their kiddos and the rest of the family. Love you all and I believe that God is taking good care of Uncle Jim up in Heaven.
