I had the pleasure of talking with Doug on several occasions. Doug's attitude and zest for life is inspiring.

I was a neighbor of Doug's at A.S. Whenever Doug and I would chat on the lawn, my day seemed better, the sun shined brighter and the lake was all the more beautiful. His kind heart, Gentleman ways, the love he had for his family, and of course "Brody" who was one LUCKY dog to have been chosen by Doug, are memories I will always remember. It was a privilege to have known him. As neighbors we all try to look out for one another, but we especially looked out for Doug. He was Loved at A.S. The "Gentleman In The Cowboy Hat". May You Rest In Peace To The Corbin Family, I'm so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. Please except my deepest sympathy. I will always have a special place in my heart for Doug. Sincerely, Carole Forbes

My condolences to the family. I grew up in the neighborhood with the Corbin’s. I loved going over to their house and playing with Jena and Leta. Doug and Karen were so sweet and friendly. So sorry for your loss.

Lita, Joe and family We were saddened to learn of Doug’s passing and hope you find some comfort in the sharing of memories which keep his spirit alive. We didn’t know Doug well but we enjoyed his kindness and conversation in the few years we knew him. We usually chatted on the way down to, or from, the lake and he always had a kind word or nice thought to share. We particularly liked seeing him sitting side by side with on the swing in front of his house with Brody (occasionally taking a short siesta). He will be missed but know that his presence will be on the lane forever. We are better for having known him. Thanks for sharing him with us. Take care and be well, Keith and Mary Robinson
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My deepest condolences to Jena, Leta, David, and the family. Doug was such a great man. A role model I still think back to as an example of how to be patient, calm, helpful, and respectful.
